Why CSA? Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) has become a popular way for consumers to buy local, seasonal food directly from a farmer and make an investment in the local food system. Each year, during our peak season, we offer our customers the opportunity to buy a "subscription" to our farm. When you become a subscriber or "member", you will receive a bag of fresh seasonal produce either weekly or bi-weekly, and our farm gets needed capital during the slow season. Purchasing a CSA membership helps us to plan and purchase seeds, equipment and supplies. It is also a shared wager on the future. There is shared risk between our farm and our CSA members If a hailstorm takes out all the crops, everyone is disappointed together, and likewise together we cheer on a bountiful harvest. We feel a great sense of responsibility to our members ─ when certain crops are scarce, we make sure our CSA members get served first.
The 2024 CSA subscriptions will run for 20 weeks beginning June 15th and ending October 26th. There is a choice of a weekly or bi-weekly subscription and each bag contains 6 – 9 different seasonal fruits and vegetables. Selection will be based on availability, but we will do our best to always provide an accurate representation of everything we take to the farmers’ market, plus a few other treats for CSA members only. Pick-up locations are available in Los Alamos, Espanola, and Santa Fe. Visit our Virtual Farm Stand to subscribe.
You may subscribe with a credit card at the Virtual Farm Stand, send us check or pay cash in person. If you would like to break up your payments we can do that too, but we require a deposit and expect payment in full before the subscription period starts. We are unable to provide re refunds once the subscription period begins. Go the contact page, drop us a note and let us know if you would like to set up a payment plan, or if you have any other questions.
